-Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent; -2 year Post Secondary Diploma in a related field such as Engineering, Drafting, Applied Science or similar; -Minimum 1 year experience working with the public, consultants and contractors; -Knowledge of methods, techniques, and equipment used in civil construction; -Able to read and interpret plans and specifications -Excellent interpersonal communication skills; -Able to work effectively with minimal supervision; -Competent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) -Data gathering, analysis and report writing; -Knowledge in photography & the local area. |
| Duties |
The Site Inspector is a seasonal position responsible for inspecting and documenting works carried out on site by Contractors on behalf of the RDCK, ensuring that the Contractor completes the work in general conformity with RDCK Contract Documents. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or designate, the Site Inspector will work on behalf of the RDCK and report back at regular intervals to both the RDCK and its Consultants in line with both MMCD and CCDC contracting arrangements. Training will be provided on specific site and work inspection requirements. |
