Skills and Qualifications: • Valid Serving It Right Certificate and Valid Food Safe Level 1 Certificate, general math skills, good verbal communication and comprehension. • Skills to provide customer service, resolve conflict, and work well as part of a team with a high energy level. • Leadership skills to deal with servers and problems in a positive way. The ability and willingness to give and take direction and problem solve. • Able to multi-task with serving and tending bar. • Previous serving experience • Work from 25 to 30 hours a week ; Weekend and nights available |
Duties |
Day Shifts - 10am-5pm Evening Shifts - 5pm – 1am Job Responsibilities: Must have the ability to serve patrons by providing information to help food and beverage selections; presenting ordered choices; maintaining dining ambiance. Knowledge of mixing basic bar cocktails. Follow drink recipes with speed a precision. Direct servers on following pub procedure. Opening and closing pub efficiently. Sell lotto through BCLC. Able to do shift work, evening, and weekend shifts. Job Duties: • Prepare Bar for opening or closing • Prepare beverages with consistency and speed • Oversee server performance, efficiency, and duties. • Ensure customers and other floor staff are complying with company policy. • Sell lotto through BCLC • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety & alcohol beverage control • Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions • Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests. • Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen, delivering accompaniments and condiments, ensuring to quality check. • Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payments; returning change accurately. • Bartender is responsible for bar float, bill payments and cash outs. |
