| Duties |
The Family Counsellor is responsible for providing counselling to individuals, couples, and families to help them resolve any emotional issues that are negatively affecting the family system and interfering with healthy family routines. Typically, the family counsellor may help clients to address family system/family of origin issues, parent-child relational issues, and blended family issues. The family counsellor may also provide services to help parents respond to difficult child/youth behaviours, improve communications patterns, resolve conflicts, and develop healthy connections. |
