Survey Technician/Drone Pilot (Mining Focused)

Requirements What we are looking for:
Proven experience working as a surveyor in mining or heavy industrial environments
Strong proficiency with GPS, total stations, and survey workflows
Experience with volumetrics, surface mapping and production support
Valid advanced drone pilot certification
Solid understanding of UAV data capture
Experience with CAD software
Experience integrating drone data into mine planning workflows
Ability to work independently in demanding field conditions
Strong communication skills and team-first mind set
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel

Duties Key responsibilities
Perform daily and weekly tasks on mine sites
Carry out pit surveys, topographic mapping and construction layout
Complete stockpile volumes and materials tracking with accuracy and efficiency
Operate UAV/drone systems
Process and validate survey and UAV data for use by engineering and operations teams
Work closely with mine engineers, geotechnical teams, supervisors, and operations personnel
Ensure strict adherence to all mine site safety protocols and procedures
Maintain and calibrate survey and UAV equipment
Follow all site-specific safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture

The position also entails other projects that could include some travel.
