Requirements Having attended the 2025/2026 school year full time with proof of returning to full time studies in 2026/2027.
Current first aid certification (Emergency First Aid or OFA Level 1, or Child’s Safe First Aid) PLUS CPR ‘C’.
Previous experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 11 years.
Knowledge of municipal recreation programs.
Attendance is required at the Spirit of the Rockies Festival and Canada Day activities.
Mandatory orientation and training sessions before the program commences.
Police Information Check.

Duties Under the direction of the Recreation Worker, Playground Leaders will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities planned by the Recreation Worker and supervising the participants of the Playground Program. The Playground Leaders will participate in the Playground Program activities relating to the Spirit of the Rockies Festival and Canada Day events.
These positions are only available to individuals who are currently in school and who will be returning to secondary or post-secondary education in September 2025.
