Job description: Seasonal Greenhouse Worker Reports To Head Grower Job Summary The Seasonal Greenhouse Worker, under the direction of the Head Grower, will primarily be responsible to follow growing schedules from established procedures from the grower or manager. This position will prepare flats and fill with soil, and then prepare transplants for retail sale. The Transplanter must possess the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands and ability to work individually as well as part of a team. | Duties |
Job Duties - Ascertain growing schedules and deviations from established procedures from grower or manager - Prepare flats and fill with soil - Ensure the health and viability of the product - Conduct analysis of soil moisture and waters plants appropriately - Maintain plants by planting, transplanting, cultivating, irrigating, and pruning - Prepare flowers in greenhouses by planting and preparing them for outdoor transplant - Enter all work completed in record book - Move and sort plants in production and retail greenhouses as required - Clean workstation at end of each work day and prepare space for morning jobs - Any other duties as required Work Conditions - Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade - Flexible hours including weekends, and holidays - Extended periods of stooping, bending, and kneeling - Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 23 kilograms - Working in an environment subject to frequent temperature changes Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal Contract length: 3 months Benefits: - On-site parking - Store discount Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2026-02-19 Expected start date: 2026-03-02 |
