Qualifications: · Previous banquet or food and beverage service experience preferred · Strong customer service and communication skills · Ability to work well in a fast paced, team oriented environment · Professional appearance and positive attitude · Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods · Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required · Serving It Right or equivalent certification required or willingness to obtain WORKING CONDITIONS: The incumbent may work a variety of shifts. Occasionally, a requirement may arise to work overtime based on occupancy and staffing levels. Work location is on-site. Physical Demands: This role is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and walking throughout each shift. The Banquet Server regularly lifts, carries, and moves service trays, tables, chairs, linens, and equipment, with the ability to lift up to approximately 25 to 40 pounds. Repetitive movements such as serving and clearing tables are common, along with bending, reaching, and stooping during event setup and breakdown. Environmental Conditions: The Banquet Server works primarily indoors within banquet halls, meeting rooms, and event spaces. The environment is fast paced and collaborative, with room temperatures that may fluctuate depending on guest volume, equipment use, and event setup. The role may involve exposure to food allergens, cleaning products, and occasional spills, requiring ongoing awareness of safety and cleanliness standards. Sensory Demands: The position involves regular exposure to moderate to high noise levels from music, announcements, and guest conversations. The Banquet Server must continuously use visual focus to monitor table settings, guest cues, and service timing. The role also includes frequent exposure to food and beverage aromas, as well as variable lighting conditions ranging from bright to dim depending on the nature of the event. Mental Demands - The Banquet Server must maintain sustained concentration and attention to detail to accurately follow event orders and service timelines. The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and communicate effectively with team members in a busy, time sensitive environment. Remaining calm, professional, and guest focused during high volume events is essential. |

osition Overview: The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during banquets, meetings, weddings, and special events hosted at INNhotels properties. This role plays a key part in creating memorable guest experiences through professional, attentive, and efficient service while upholding INNhotels standards of hospitality. Key Responsibilities: · Set up banquet rooms according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, dishware, and décor · Serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous, and professional manner · Open and serve wine/champagne bottles in accordance with departmental standards and function requirements · Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces before, during, and after events · Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service standards · Communicate effectively with the banquet team, kitchen, and event supervisors · Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns · Assist with event breakdown and storage of equipment following events · Adhere to all INNhotels policies, procedures, and brand standards · This is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all functions; other suitable duties may be assigned. |
