Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge of federal and provincial health, safety and food-handling laws and regulations.

· Well experienced in proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.

· Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Basic computer skills and knowledge.

· Effective ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

· Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

· Open to taking directions; work well independently and as a member of a team.




REQUIREMENTS:

· A minimum of 2 years work experience in a food preparation & cook position

· University, College or Culinary education or extensive cooking and production experience preferred

· Food Safety Certification or Training

· First aid certification is an asset

· WHMIS certification

Duties JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate under the direction of the Executive Chef and F&B Manager.

· Follow daily preparation lists and requirements.

· Follow all opening and closing checklists and standard operating procedures.

· Follow all cleaning checklists and logs for kitchen maintenance.

· Follow all recipes and portion control standards correctly.

· Ensure that all workstations remain clean, organized, and stocked before and during service.

· Be on line cooking, calling orders and staging the timing of plate execution.

· Ensure all kitchen inventory and storage areas are clean and organized.

· Receive products; verify the invoices are correct and ensure product quality.

· Produce high-quality product and service to ensure guest satisfaction and retention.

· Follow staffing guidelines and timeliness throughout working shift.

· Maintain all health and safety standards as outlined by Government regulations.

· Attend meetings related to Food & Beverage if required.

· Perform other related duties as required by the Executive Chef / Sous Chef.
