• Assist customers in locating products and answering their questions with professionalism and courtesy
• Operate the POS system for checkout transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure proper merchandising of products
• Conduct product demos to promote new or featured items to customers
• Manage inventory levels through stocking and replenishing shelves as needed
• Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer experience
• Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and back stock areas
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette
• Support sales goals through effective communication and product knowledge
Skills
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Bilingual skills are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management
• Demonstrated ability in upselling and sales techniques to increase store revenue
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
