| Requirements |
? Diploma in related human or social services field. Or relevant experience will be considered ? Strong communication skills ? Skills working with women with substance use issues and/or mental health issues considered an asset ? Strong knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by women, youth, and children affected by gender-based violence, along with the ability to provide support using a non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach, are highly desirable. ? Ability to mediate or facilitate healthy interactions among program clients, effectively manage crisis situations, and demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential ? Clear Criminal Record ? Current BC Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract ? Current First Aid Certificate with CPR ? Assets include those with lived experience, bi-lingual, and enjoys animals ? Physical ability to carry out duties of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds and doing stairs several times per day ? Ability to maintain a flexible schedule that allows for day, evening and overnight work |

A fundamental premise to service delivery is to respect women’s right to make choices based on their own understanding of their options, needs and goals.
