Spectrum Home & Family Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to support an individual in Creston, BC.
Immediate start
Duties Include:
• Support with daily living tasks and personal hygiene (with prompting as needed)
• Homemaking and household upkeep
• Assistance with health management (diabetes, high blood pressure, cellulitis, obesity, mental health, support stockings)
• Encouragement and support for community involvement and social activities
• Overall health and safety monitoring
Qualifications:
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (citizenship or permanent residency required; sponsorship not available)
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• WHMIS 2018 Certification
• Food Safe Level 1
• Experience is an asset, but training will be provided for the right individual
• Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow support plans
• Must be able to work fragrance-free (no scented products such as laundry detergents, perfumes, body sprays, hair/body care products, car deodorizers, or Febreze; clients are highly sensitive to fragrance)
