Preferred candidate will have Christian beliefs and the following qualifications: -Grade 12 or equivalent -Previous caretaking experience an asset but not necessary -Some basic maintenance skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing). Trades or contracting skills are an asset -Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills -Ability to complete required paperwork -Class 5 Driver's License or better -Basic computer & cell phone skills -Lawn mower, tractor, chain saw experience -Ability to work with Board members, campers, renters, youth, and hired contractors -Good communication skills -Appreciation of nature and the outdoors |
| Duties |
Primary Duties -Provides security, maintenance, and customer liaison for the Rock Lake United Church Camp and Rock Lake Campground -Report to designated members of the Rock Lake United Church Camp Society (RLUCCS) -Maintain yearly occupancy at the residence provided at RLUCC -Comply with site Rules & Regulations, Caretakers Contract, & Caretaker Duties CONTRACT CRITERIA: - Yearly accommodation at RLUUCC with compensation -Negotiable contract with 5-year commitment with a first year probational contract -Candidate encouraged to find additional winter employment in the area and during times of employment during the site open months (May-Oct), the Caretakers' representative must be on site when the caretaker cannot be on site -Approved candidates must agree to having a Criminal Record Check for employment and yearly United church camps Salary (negotiable) with Free Housing ($55,000 + compensation package) Shortlisted candidates will receive a site interview and a Board interview before hiring Please email resumes with references to: Attn: Hiring Committee Rocklakefinance@gmail.com Or mail at: Rock Lake United Church Camp Society (RLUCCS) Box 286 Jaffray, B V0B 1T0 Thank you for your interest in the position DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: October 15, 2025 |
