Hours: Full-time, in-person. About Cresteramics Cresteramics is a Commission Accredited Rehabilitation Facility (CARF) providing meaningful opportunities that enrich our community for people with intellectual disabilities. We are a unionized, not-for-profit organization committed to supporting individuals through respect, inclusion and equality. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities As the Executive Director, you will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for leading the strategic direction, operations, and community partnerships of Cresteramics by: • Overseeing daily operations and administration • Planning and controlling an annual budget of $1.3 million • Developing and implementing policies and programs in line with Community Living BC (CLBC) • Preparing funding applications, grant proposals, and reports • Leading contract negotiations and representing the organization in official functions • Overseeing and maintaining CARF Accreditation • Building and maintaining strong community partnerships and relationships with local authorities, funders and service providers • Overseeing the management and maintenance of physical assets • Ensuring a safe and engaging work environment Reporting & Supervision • Supervise approximately 11.2 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff (twenty employees) • Report directly to the Board of Directors ________________________________________ Working Conditions • Successful Criminal Record Check required • Valid driver’s license required • Ability to travel on an irregular basis, including overnight stays as needed ________________________________________ Benefits Although this is not a union position, all benefits are provided in accordance with the Community Social Services Employers Association (CSSEA) of BC collective agreement. Duties |
Qualifications Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management (CNP), Social Work, Business Management, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of five years of management experience, with strong knowledge of governance, Human Resources, community and public relations • Experience in the not-for-profit sector and grant writing are assets. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Familiarity with social media platforms ________________________________________ Personal Suitability The successful candidate will possess: • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team. • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. • Good judgment and confidence in decision-making. • Organizational skills, flexibility, reliability and teamwork skills • A commitment to ethics and transparency and Cresteramic's Mission and Values • Skilled in resilience and conflict resolution. |
