Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, Inc. is looking to fill the position of Part Time Summer Grounds Maintenance. The Summer Grounds Maintenance role is a key member of the Building Maintenance Department, working under the direction of the Building Maintenance Manager and working closely with the Facility Maintenance teams. Role Summary This role supports the upkeep and appearance of the resort's grounds throughout the summer season. The ideal candidate is physically capable of performing a wide range of outdoor tasks and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces. The Summer Grounds Maintenance person works across a variety of areas including lawn care, garbage collection, landscaping, and general outdoor upkeep. This is a Part-Time, seasonal position. Qualifications Physically capable of manual outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions Comfortable using outdoor maintenance tools and equipment Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general outdoor labour is an asset Friendly and personable when interacting with others. Physically fit and able to perform hands-on tasks, including working outdoors in various weather conditions, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Works well independently, taking initiative to manage tasks and projects with accountability. Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments. Valid driver’s license required for operating company vehicles and equipment. Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to consistently follow all safety rules and regulations. |
| Duties |
Key Responsibilities Perform regular lawn care, including mowing, weed trimming, watering, and general turf maintenance Maintain flower beds, trees, and shrubs through planting, weeding, pruning, and watering Carry out garbage and recycling collection and disposal across resort grounds, parking lots, and plaza areas Support summer operations by assisting with outdoor event setup, signage, and general site readiness Maintain plaza and parking lot cleanliness, including sweeping and debris removal Operate outdoor power equipment safely and effectively (e.g., weed whackers, lawn mowers) Assist other departments with general maintenance needs when required Keep work area safe and clean and report any damage, malfunction, misuse or abuse of any equipment or property Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program Other duties as assigned Compensation and Benefits: Wage $17.85 per hour (as per Collective Agreement) Staff discounts: Enjoy savings on food & beverage, rentals, retail items and hotel accommodation.
