Will train …..need to have effective communication and organizational skills/ physically fit and able to walk up hills, lift 20 lbs , squat and be able to be on feet for extended periods . Require own transport to get to various orchards. Work starts between 4/5am and usually finishes between 12/1 pm daily for the duration of the harvest (7days week for approximately 4 weeks) Must be punctual and conscientious . |
| Duties |
Working under the direction of a field manager you will be managing a crew of 15 pickers and a swamper . Using punch cards you will keep a tally of amounts picked per individual picker ensuring weights and quality standards are adhered to. You will be overseeing a swamper ensuring that full totes are taken to a centralized bin in a timely fashion. You will ensure safety protocols and hygiene requirements are followed by all personnel. Training will be provided . |
