Derochie Painting is headquartered in Cranbrook, BC with contracts throughout the region. We are currently looking for 5 Painters and 2 Painter Helpers in Fernie/Sparwood and the Elk Valley area.. We have long-term contracts with up to five years of continuous work. WE WILL ALSO ACCEPT APPLICANTS FOR JOBS ALL OVER THE KOOTENAYS. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS - Must have own transportation with valid Class 5 BC Driver's License - Must have own Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, glasses, boots, high visual vest) - Ability to work 8-hour days from 8-4:30 pm (30 min. lunch), 5 days per week - Red Seal Painter or equivalent experience would be preferred, but not required. Willing to train. - Level 1 First Aid may be required on some of our contracts - would be an asset - Fall Arrest may be required on some of our contracts - would be an asset - Main contracts are in both Fernie and Sparwood so travel may be required |

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Ability to travel to the work site and be on time/fit for duty - Exterior/interior residential and commercial painting - Taping, sanding, filling holes, painting in homes, apartment buildings, and construction sites - May involve working at heights up to 20 feet |
