Duties |
Key Responsibilities: Team Support & Floor Supervision Assist servers and bartenders during busy periods to maintain smooth service. Support the team by jumping into roles such as hosting, bussing, bartending, lottery sales, payment processing, and expediting food. Assign and adjust server sections to manage flow and shift dynamics based on customer traffic. Monitor team readiness: ensure staff arrive on time, are properly dressed, and complete all required duties. Communicate shift updates, daily specials, and out-of-stock items; log all relevant info in the communication book. Call in or cut staff as needed based on traffic and performance. Report notable positives and negatives from shifts to the Bar Manager or higher-level supervisors. Ensure all side duties and cleaning checklists (daily, weekly, monthly) are completed and followed. Step in to cover a bartending or serving shift when necessary due to callouts. Set up and serve small banquets not requiring additional staff. Ordering & Cash Handling Notify the Bar Manager of low inventory or supply needs (e.g., glassware, condiments, non-alcoholics). Assist team with POS issues, including voids, promotions, and QSAs. Help staff troubleshoot cash-out errors and ensure end-of-shift procedures are followed properly. Customer Service & Atmosphere Act as a host and ambassador: welcome guests, engage in friendly conversation, and gather feedback. Adjust music, lighting, and TV channels to suit the crowd and enhance guest experience. Observe service levels across tables, coaching staff as needed and reassigning sections for efficiency. Intervene if guests appear dissatisfied and have the discretion to offer discounts or solutions when appropriate. Uphold high standards of customer service across the team |
