Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisor & Lodging Manager - the Front Desk Agent is responsible for all things related to Lodging and assisting in the Golf Shop. A successful front desk agent makes guests feel welcomed as soon as they walk through the doors. Being able to be cheerful is always important. A front desk agent must be personable, and above all professional in handling guests' issues and relating with them. Greeting the guests and ensuring all service standards are followed. Assisting guests with Check-in and check-out. Assisting Golfers with check-in and tee times. Maintaining the record of guests that have checked in and out. Recommending and booking activities, restaurants, and transportation for guests. Storing any luggage for guests. Setting wake-up calls for the guests efficiently. Taking reservations on the phone for hotel and cabin stays efficiently and professionally. Arranging restaurant reservations for guests. Responsible for handling guests' complaints or directing them to the supervisor, manager, or GM. Handle golf guest tee time check-ins and incoming calls to make reservations, amendments, and cancellations for golf bookings. Answer questions on golf and hotel rates, resort facilities, products, services, and special promotions. Demonstrate golf shop retail product knowledge. Responsible for balancing cash and credit receipts daily. Participating in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Driver's license preferred. Previous Front Desk or hotel experience is an asset. Must enjoy giving a high level of customer service. Must have experience working with computers and answering phones. Must be able to lift 20lbs. Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures. Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays. This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels. Salary: $18- $20 per hour - Wages negotiable with experience. Seasonal part time position available.
