Be part of creating the inaugural bike valet in downtown Invermere, every Saturday throughout summer at the Farmers Market. A bike valet is like a coat check but for bikes, to support and encourage cycling as a mode of transport around town. Ideal candidate can commit to working every Saturday June 14-Sept 13th (or the majority of Saturdays), from 7am-2pm. | Duties |
– Schedule and confirm volunteers before each Saturday and answer their questions – Transport, setup, take down and storage of security fencing, signage, bike racks, tents and customer check in centre – Greeting of guests, explanation of services and other inquiries when possible – Check in/out guests bikes/equipment using tag system – Collection of data as required upon check in and check out – Keeping work area clean and organised – Maintaining a visual check on bike storage area to keep it secure – Secure stored equipment at end of day – Communicate incidents & customer feedback to manager |
