Requirements |
You must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, and be legally entitled to work in Canada You must be between 16 and 30 years of age and a college or university student. We are especially looking for someone who: Demonstrates a very strong ability to successfully complete complex projects; Has excellent problem-solving abilities; Has at least some familiarity with databases; Is physically able to undertake the work involved; Is comfortable working with people of all ages. |
Duties |
The Creston Museum has recently migrated its collections to a cloud-based collections management system, CatalogIt. We are now in the process of doing data cleanup and record editing to take advantage of the full scope of CatalogIt’s functions and features. Moreover, CatalogIt will enable us to make our collections accessible online to the general public. Before we can launch an online database, we must address the data-cleanup issues that come with migrating to a new platform. The Collections Data Specialist plays an integral role in this process. |
