REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. -Valid BC Driver’s License. Knowledge of maintaining parks, sports fields, and grounds and all related maintenance equipment Knowledge of cleaning and maintaining ground equipment Knowledge of simple repair and maintenance task on buildings and components -Knowledge of janitorial work -Ability to work with minimal supervision -Exercise considerable independence of judgement action in the operation of equipment -Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public. |
| Duties |
Perform general parks and grounds maintenance, building maintenance, and Janitorial work. Work is on an assigned shift under the limited supervision of a Facility Working Forman. The work involves operating parks and grounds maintenance equipment, also may include performing building maintenance and janitorial work assigned by a Facility Maintenance Foreman. The worker must exercise care in routine dealings with other employees and provide assistance to the public using the facilities. Applicants should be available to work a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm. |
