Requirements Job Description: The Columbia Valley Food Bank is seeking an experienced individual to oversee the day to day operation of all aspects of the Food Bank. This person is required to have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a compassionate commitment to servicing those in the community experiencing food insecurity.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, streamline, and execute workflows and procedures.
- Provide accurate management of food inventory, and distribution.
- Maintain detailed records, for Client services, donor records, and food distribution.
- Recruit, co-ordinate and support Volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with Food Banks B.C., Food Banks Canada, and all other regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Board of Directors on Food Bank activities including all relevant statistics.
- Foster and grow relations with local, provincial, national, and business partners.
- Identify, initiate and support fund raising opportunities such as grants, and events.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in equivalent role, or related field
- Education: High school diploma, bachelor’s degree in business administration, Social Work, or Nonprofit Management preferred.
- Experience in grant writing, reporting, and/or fundraising techniques.
- Financial understanding and decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and on social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with diverse populations.
- Understanding of food insecurity, poverty and systemic inequities.

Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Class 5 (or higher) B.C. driver’s license with clean driving record
- Required to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record check
