*Education in Social Work, Health, Human Services or equivalent experience *Ability to work w/marginalized populations w/dignity, humility & a commitment to learning *Non judgemental & comfortable working w/ people who may use substances *Sound knowledge of Indigenous issues both historical & current in BC & Canada *Able to build relationships & communicate w/ individuals experiencing mental health challenges *Commitment to anti-oppressive & trauma informed practices *Valid Drivers license & reliable vehicle *Crim Record check *1st Aid, Food Safe, Naloxone training/willingness to complete |
| Duties |
This position will provide outreach to unhoused & precariously sheltered community members from a harm reduction perspective. Outreach may include offering individ support/practical resources/supplies to folks, as well as advocacy & facilitating access to services. You will work w/the Den team & other outreach workers-partnered for some aspects of outreach & working independently in other duties of service provision. The Outreach worker will also engage w/other professionals & multiple sectors of community, & have some responsibility for supervising daytime drop-in SEE WEBSITE FOR FULL POSTING |
