Requirements |
• Certificate in Early Childhood Education *Applicants who are currently enrolled in an ECE certificate-accredited program are welcome to apply • Valid Community Care Facilities Branch BC License to Practice • Understanding the BC Early Learning Framework is beneficial • Experience working with families with young children • Strong understanding of child development and local community resources • Excellent communication and facilitation skills • Strong organizational and administrational skills • Valid First Aid and FoodSafe certifications will be considered assets |
Duties |
• Plan, develop, and deliver the StrongStart program • Align goals and objectives with the Province of BC’s StrongStart mandate • Create a safe and nurturing learning environment • Engage and assist parents in supporting their children’s early learning skills • Complete administrative tasks (e.g., attendance and reporting) as per the Ministry and CBAL expectations • Collaborate with CBAL colleagues, school staff, partners, and community members to promote, enhance, and expand StrongStart programming. • Connect families with appropriate community support services. • Attend meetings as required |
