Required Qualifications: * National Lifeguard Certification (Current, and not set to expire for a minimum of three months) * Standard First Aid current within two years * Current CPR C recertified annually * Standard First Aid or equivalent * WHMIS Certification * Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification (For Swim Instructor Position) * Other appropriate aquatic awards would be considered an asset * Satisfactory Criminal Record *certifications should be current and not set to expire for a minimum of three months Required knowledge, skills & abilities: * 16 years of age (minimum) * Knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in life guarding * Knowledge of life guarding rules, regulations and practices * Knowledge of WHMIS procedures * Knowledge of emergency procedures * Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public * Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise considerable independence of judgment / action |
| Duties |
These are part-time positions and the successful applicants will work up to 24 hours per week. The successful candidates must be available to work a varied work schedule based on operational demands that includes day, weekend, and/or evening shifts.
