Excellent wage and career opportunity! We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a floor covering mechanic apprentice! As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced flooring installers, learning the skills and techniques to become a skilled certified floor covering installer. This is a hands-on apprenticeship that will provide you with practical experience in the floor covering installation industry. Responsibilities: • Assist with preparation of surfaces for flooring installation, including measuring, cutting and leveling surfaces • Learning to mix and apply adhesives and other materials required for installation • Work with experienced floor covering mechanics to lay and cut floor coverings in accordance with specifications • Learn to use tools and equipment required for installation • Assist with clean-up and removal of debris after the flooring installation is complete • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment |
| Duties |
Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team • Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites Availability: • 40 hours/week • Monday – Friday This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to learn a skilled trade and build a career in the floor installation industry.
