Coy’s Par 3 is a picturesque and unique 9 hole golf course located in Columere Park (6 kms south of Fairmont Hot Springs) that has been growing in popularity for over 3 decades - often referred to as one of the most challenging 9 holes in the East Kootenays. It’s a family friendly course where loyal customers and visitors continue to rave about how much they enjoy the experience, the view, and the good times on the deck at the clubhouse after a fun round. Our staff is one of the true strengths of our course - they are committed to ensuring a great golfing and dining experience for all guests. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Golf Course Turf Care. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills with the ground crews, and be involved in every aspect of the golf course operations, conditioning, and equipment maintenance. Position Overview: • Execution of day-to-day operations. • Build upon the team work environment and culture. • Ensure safe working practices. • Assisting in the maintenance of all course equipment and repairs/service as required. • Assisting operation and maintenance of the course watering system, and repairs as required. • Managing course staff (typically 3-4 people), and training of new staff. • Assisting in the execution of course improvement projects. • This is a full time seasonal position (May through October). Based on a standard work week of 5 days on, and 2 days off, but subject to weather and projects. Qualifications: • A positive attitude, and strong communication skills. • Experience in the Golf or Landscaping industry an asset. • Graduate of a recognized turf program an asset but not mandatory. • Passionate and motivated to develop the necessary skills to succeed in the turf industry. • Valid Drivers license. Compensation and Benefits:- • $ 18 - $20 per hour, but negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. • Golf Privileges. • Discounts on food and golf shop merchandise. |
