Requirements The Volunteer Park Host Program is a hospitality service to park visitors. The role of the host is to enhance visitor services and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for park visitors. By greeting park visitors and providing them with information about things to do in the park and surrounding area, volunteer park hosts offer an important service.
Hosts will be provided with a campsite to stay in while in the park. Unfortunately some of these campsites at the Provincial Parks have no power, water or sewer hookups. So self contained units will be required in those Parks.

Duties Hosting duties consist of:
• Greeting visitors to the Provincial Park and providing information about the park and the surrounding area.
• Keeping their provided campsite clean and orderly.
• Helping staff with a variety of small projects/tasks.
• Reporting into the park staff on a scheduled basis.
These duties leave many hours for the hosts to enjoy hiking, exploring, wildlife viewing, photography, and other outdoor activities. Mountain biking is exceptionally popular in some of the areas.
EK Parks has limited volunteer host opportunities for June through September each year at the following Provincial Parks. Dry Gulch , Mt Fernie, Moyie, Yahk & Lockhart.
