Overview:
Under the direction of the Programs Manager and Coordinator, this position provides facilitation and employment counselling support to clients within the ADVANCE program.

How is remuneration decided?
We provide training to new hires with core skills to ensure they can develop the necessary competencies. As you progress in this role, you will clearly see your level of pay within our model, and as your required skills increase, so too can your wage. Most program staff start at $26.60 per hour, with benefits beginning after 3 months. After 1 year, vacation entitlement starts to increase. If you have experience in business administration and working with diverse and highly barriered client groups, we may consider starting you at a higher wage. The pay range for this position starts at $26.60 per hour, with a maximum of $28.60 per hour.

Duties Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Administration
· Communicate and coordinate with the team members working on the ADVANCE program including external training facilities
· Oversee participant recruitment and selection
· Administer assessment and record results as directed
· Create or update program material where needed within the LMS system
· Manage program record-keeping and reporting
· Manage program intake administration
· Ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept updated on all concerns, issues, and program challenges
· Produce creative and innovative solutions to reduce potential challenges
· Reporting in conjunction with the Programs Coordinator/Manager
· Monitor attendance and progress within the in-house IT system
· Work with other departments to ensure recruitment for the program is successful


Facilitation:
· Deliver workshops in a flexible manner that adjusts both content and approach in response to the needs of each participant for predominately virtual delivery
· Research, develop, and deliver training materials including electronic interactive presentations
· Collaborate with other KES staff and project partners to ensure seamless delivery and that cohort targets (KPI’s) are met or exceeded.
· Facilitation of community presentations to make employer and community partners aware of the program funding
· Provide onsite Job Coaching where necessary
· Other duties where needed

Employment Counselling:
· Determine clients financial need and provide guidance on local, regional, and provincial supports as appropriate
· Collaborate with other KES staff and project partners to ensure seamless delivery and that cohort targets (KPI’s) are met or exceeded
· Other duties where needed


Employer Relations
· Establish and maintain positive, constructive working relationships with a diverse network of local employers for the purpose of achieving and enhancing program outcomes and participant goals
· Advocacy of clients with barriers and education to employers on inclusive hiring practices
· Enter notes on all employer contact into scheduling system daily


Skills and Qualifications:
· A post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in a related field (career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education or human resources management) preferred, or equitable experience and education to execute the functions of the position.
· Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle
· A clean criminal record check for the vulnerable sector
· Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently and make decisions
· Experience in facilitation will be highly regarded
· Experience working with diverse and highly barriered client groups
· Proven ability to deliver material in a flexible manner with a deep appreciation and understanding of different learning styles and with patience
· Excellent conflict management skills and strong ability to work well under pressure
· Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and electronic
· Excellent sales and customer care skills including cold calling and relationship management
· Strong active listening, motivational, and coaching skills
· Strong organizational & time management abilities; proficiency multi-tasking, prioritizing, and making impromptu adjustments to work plans
· A well-developed understanding of the local and regional employer community and a good understanding of the local labour market an asset
· Sensitivity to employer and job-seeker confidentiality and ability to adhere to privacy and security regulations and protocols
