Previous familiarity or experience with climate action or in climate-related fields is an asset but not a requirement. Training will be provided! Requirements: Motivation to be part of climate solutions and engage others in climate action Passion for community building Adaptable Independent worker Capable of working remotely Eligibility: Be between 17 - 30 years of age Be legally entitled to work in Canada Must have a valid driver’s licence Looking for applicants located around RDCK with the ability to travel throughout the region |
Duties |
Serve as an ambassador for Wildsight, the RDCK, the City of Nelson, and possibly other municipalities to educate the public about local climate plans and programs Developing facilitation and collaboration skills Learning to listen and communicate compassionately to community members about the climate crisis and local solutions Log and collect interaction data Participate enthusiastically and professionally in introductory and ongoing training Support the YCC team in producing and sharing communications content to tell the story of our work through multiple channels |
